Spotify VS DJ

I often see questions on various Wedding related groups on facebook, on whether or not it's better to use Spotify, instead of a professional DJ. There are equal points for both. But what it really comes down to is Music Flow. Yes, it would be much easier to scroll through multiple playlists on spotify and add all of your favorites. One thing that will become apparent, is the flow of music. If you're ok with an uneven mix of music tempos, mixed dancefloor use and just pure chaos, by all means, use spotify. Here is what we DJ's can do with you.

We can:

  • Work with you to develop a list of MUST PLAY songs. These are songs that you absolutely want to hear during the night (order at the discretion of DJ, to ensure consistency on the dance floor. This also applies to songs you DO NOT want played.
  • Offer suggestions on additional songs from multiple genres which have been proven to get the audiences attention.
  • Ensure that the right version gets played. There's nothing worse than having a live version play, which often lacks the bass often needed to get you in the mood. Or, even worse, the lack of a full-version of that song played.
  • Ensure that if something does go wrong with the song or sound, your DJ will be knowledgeable and can adapt to transitions should something go awry.
